Resume

Maria do Céu L. Sousa Ferreira: Doutorada e mestre em engenharia industrial pela Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT/UNL), mestre em engenharia química e licenciada em radiologia. É a coordenadora nacional da especialização em metrologia da ordem dos engenheiros e especialista sénior em metrologia, outorgada pela respetiva ordem. É docente nos cursos de licenciatura e de mestrado em engenharia e gestão industrial da faculdade de engenharia da universidade lusófona e no seu percurso profissional de três décadas dedicado à metrologia e qualidade, tem desempenhado funções no departamento de metrologia do IPQ, com responsabilidade nas atividades metrológicas desenvolvidas nos domínios da metrologia científica, aplicada e legal. Os seus interesses e atividades de investigação abrangem as aplicações metrológicas e sistemas de medição, metodologias estatísticas e análise de dados, com particular relevo na indústria e nos serviços de saúde, sendo membro do centro de investigação em gestão de ativos e engenharia de sistemas, RCM2+. Desde 2000 que integra a bolsa de auditores do IPAC e é membro da comissão setorial da saúde-CS09, onde coordena o grupo de trabalho para a metrologia em saúde. Na vertente internacional, tem participado em projetos de investigação da rede EMPIR e EPM, sendo contact person na representação de Portugal em vários grupos de trabalho da Organização Internacional de Metrologia Legal (OIML) onde integra a OIML CEEMS Experts list. No âmbito da normalização, integra, como perita, a Organização Internacional de Normalização nos comités ISO TC 85, 87 e 210. É autora de diversos artigos publicados em revistas científicas e/ou divulgados em conferências da especialidade. Maria Ferreira holds a Ph.D. and a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the Faculty of Science and Technology at the New University of Lisbon (FCT/UNL), as well as a master’s degree in chemical engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Radiology. Maria is the national coordinator of the metrology specialisation of the Order of Engineers and a senior metrology specialist. Maria is also an invited Professor who teaches undergraduate and master's courses in industrial engineering and management at the Faculty of Engineering at Lusófona University. During her three-decade-long career dedicated to metrology and quality, Maria worked in the metrology department of the IPQ, conducting activities in the scientific, applied and legal fields. Her research interests focus on metrological applications, quality control and data analysis, particularly in industry and health services. She is also a member of the Research Centre for Asset Management and Systems Engineering, RCM²2+. Since 2000, Maria has been an IPAC auditor and a member of the health sector committee-CS09, where she coordinates the health metrology working group. Maria has participated in international research projects within the EMPIR and EPM networks and represents Portugal in several working groups of the International Organisation of Legal Metrology (OIML), where she is listed among the OIML CEEMS Experts members. Maria is also an expert of the International Organisation for Standardisation’s committees ISO TC 85, 87 and 210. Maria has authored several articles published in scientific journals and/or presented at specialist conferences.
