Resume

Marisa Filipe holds a Ph.D. degree in Psychology (2010-2014) and a Master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology (2009) from the University of Porto. Over the years, she has made significant contributions to the research fields of language, executive functions, and neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism. Her work has resulted in several published articles in international scientific journals. Marisa has published 20 articles in high-ranked journals, with 17 of them being published in Q1 journals. She has also served as the first author of 13 of these articles and as the leader of 3. Furthermore, Marisa has actively participated in various funded research projects and has authored Portuguese translations/adaptations of multiple assessment tools. Alongside her research contributions, Marisa is dedicated to knowledge dissemination and transfer. As such, she has presented talks at international and national meetings and has taught or collaborated in Ph.D. and MA seminars. Importantly, Marisa has also been actively engaged in community events that facilitate the potential for clinical translation of research findings and outputs. These include delivering talks at schools, participating in healthcare seminars, and developing Professional Development Courses. She has also gained extensive clinical experience as the coordinator of the University of Porto - Neuropsychological Service for Children for ten years.
