Information and Communication Technologies in Lusophone Countries

The event centred on the right to digital citizenship for all citizens

25.03.24 - 18h04

The event "Digital Citizenship in Lusophone Countries" was held on 26 February, with the aim of reflecting on the right that all citizens should have to use information and communication technologies.

This was a hybrid session attended by Professor Carla Cerqueira, Professor Célia Taborda and Paulo Figueiredo, a journalist at Agência Lusa. Elisabeth Sutterlin, Dércio Tsandzana and Miguel Barros were also present remotely. They shared their thoughts on freedom of expression online and access to information, which is often denied and restricted in some countries, with the students and teachers present.
