    Presentation

    This UC represents the culmination of learning in the Design degree. It aims to stimulate and consolidate the student's autonomy along with his projectual maturity. Its central objective is to approach and consolidate the notion of an integrated project, through a multifaceted approach, for which the experience and knowledge acquired in the remaining curricular units of the Bachelor's program converge. It will unfold through an integrated project that will work on several fronts and supports print, digital, audiovisual, others.

    Consolidation of project autonomy and development of complex and multidisciplinary case studies.

     Application and correlation of the following notions:

    Analysis of complex social systems and realities;

    Setting up an insightful research body, individually or in teams / working groups;

    Establishment of effective working groups;

    Effectiveness in coordinating different elements of multidisciplinary working groups.

    Identification and development of integrated case studies;

    Construction of a solid body of work.

  • Objectives

    Objectives

    This UC aims to stimulate the student to consolidate an autonomous, integrated and intellectually rich projectual thinking, based on a coherent and solid body of research. The Student must propose and adopt his own work methodologies and, in addition, coordinate his approach with multidisciplinary work teams. Autonomous critical thinking, based on a solid and insightful body of research, are central objectives. The joint discussion and analysis of these investigations and their materialization in integrated projects should constitute basic principles.

    Objectives:

    Development of autonomous project thinking;

    Setting up an insightful and relevant body of research;

    Analysis of complex systems;

    Application of the analysis and deployment of it in advanced and innovative Case Studies;

    Implementation of Case-studies in complex objects with deployment on multidisciplinary and integrated fronts;

    Development of an integrated project that denotes innovation and project maturity and pertinence.

  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    This CU is based on the use of different pedagogical methods depending on the proposed exercises and objectives. For example, the research work developed out of the campus - libraries, museums, galleries, gardens, streets, among other places susceptible to research and field exploration; phased exercises, with variation between individual and collective work; the exchange between digital and analogue techniques; and the experimentation of various design approaches with the guidance of different tutors.
