Overview of the process of human rights internationalization
Classification of human rights
Universal system of protection: conventional procedures and the ONU framework

Fundamental rights and their dual dimension: subjective and objective

Objectives
- Know the functioning of different systems of international human rights protection, with the ability to think critically about concepts and trends in human rights area;
- Assess the importance of ethical and professional responsibilities in tourism-related activities, namely duties and rights of employees and organizations responsibilities;
- Develop knowledge about tourists human rights and be able to prevent possible violations.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Theoretical-practical exposition of syllabus in interaction with students, complemented by debates on current topics and the resolution of practical cases with a view to deepening their knowledge and developing their capacities for criticism, analysis and synthesis of content. It is intended to provide differentiated learning scenarios, namely realization of works that mobilize knowledge and synergies between students, with other curricular units, namely with Contemporaneity in Tourism.
Continuous assessment: Class participation (20%); Test (50%); Work (30%). Final exam: 100%.
