Lecture and Researcher at the Institute of Education of Lusofona University/ Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development under an individual FCT-CEEC grant. I earned my PhD in Education Sciences at the University of Porto, where I maintain research collaborative work at Centre for Research and Intervention in Education, with a thesis focused on the production of subjectivity in education as governing school cultures. My research interests cover Education and Training with Art Experiences and Digital Technologies, and Research Methodologies in Education. I have more than 30 scientific publications and over 50 participations in scientific events. I am a member of the Portuguese Society of Education Sciences and actively participate in research networks focused on teacher professionalism, school education, research methodologies, and in arts/digital education. Additionally, I serve as a full member in the COST Action CA21102 – Creative Technologies, Culture-Education. I have contributed significantly as an ad hoc reviewer and editorial board member for scientific journals and have been involved in scientific and organizing committees of scientific events. My research initiatives have consistently sought to imagine innovative approaches to education and school experiences. Notably, I am the Principal Investigator of the ongoing project 'Inclusive Digital Education: Reflective practices among stakeholders' (PE-CEIED-4/002/2024) and of the project 'Future-oriented Stories of Digital Schools’ Capital: imagining times, places and sociabilities of education' (2023.08557.CEECIND), funded by individual FCT grant, and researcher in the project 'EDU-LAB' (WG4: Hearing Young People's Voices, Qualitative Case Studies) funded by Horizon Europe (HORIZON-RIA 101177428). Between 2023-2024, I was Principal Investigator of the project ‘Enhancing Teachers' Literacy and Professional Development within Art Experience,’ funded by CIIE-FCT (UIDP/00167/2020), and a researcher in the project ‘Fifty Years of Teaching: Factors of Change and Intergenerational Dialogues,’ funded by FCT (PTDC/CED-EDG/1039/2021). In recent years, I participated as a researcher in the project ‘Research Methods in Advanced Studies in Education,’ funded by FCT (EXPL/CED-EDG/1130/2021), and in the project ‘Building Educational Bridges in the City,’ funded by the European Commission (2018-1-PT01-KA201-047392). Given my expertise, I have served as an external consultant and teacher trainer for the Portuguese Ministry of Education and have been honored with a ‘Promising Practices UNESCO’ Distinction.
