    Historically linked to sports training, the knowledge and skills inherent in the Training Methodology represent, today, an essential subject for the good professional performance in the different intervention areas of Physical Education and Sport.
    Assuming its own characteristics, the UC through the following syllabus, seeks the acquisition of knowledge contributing to the foundation of the organization, planning, and management of Physical Education and School Sports.
    Understanding the principles of training, function, meaning, characteristics and processes of development of motor skills and their close connection with learning, mastery of physical exercise in its components, dimensions and infinite possibilities of harmonization and its evaluation, enabling strategies and processes leading to the creation of proposals that are appropriate to the abilities and potential of each student constitute the central scope of this academic degree.

    Description of contents:

    1 - Critical analysis of Physical Education.       

    Contribution of physical exercise to integral education and professional identity.

    2 - The process of training and competition in children and young people.

    Methodological, pedagogical and ethical aspects.

    3 - Principles of Training.
    Possibilities and limitations of applying the principles of sports training to Physical Education and School Sports.

    4 - Motor skills, health and well-being: concept and relationships.

    5 - Development of motor capacities.

    Exercise, training and learning. Sensitive phases and predominant request.

    6 - Organization and planning of Physical Education and School Sports. Motor capabilities as a structuring criterion.

  • Objectives

    Objectives

    1. Understand and discriminate the request of the various motor skills in Curricular Physical Education and School Sports.

    2. Apply the principles of training to Physical Education and School Sports.

    3. Assess and consider the development of motor skills in the annual planning of Physical Education.

    4. Develop special plans aimed at the preferential development of some or some of the motor capabilities.

    5. Design, run and evaluate specific training programs for School Sports.

    6. To sniff out the meaning and practice of physical exercise in the search for the professional identity of the Physical Education Teacher.

    There are no known innovative methodologies capable of leading the student to become aware of their conceptions and limitations, as well as the need to overcome them.
