    The course Corporate Strategy and Governance explores how organizations define their strategic direction, align their structures and behaviours, and ensure responsible, ethical and sustainable management. Its scope covers the formulation of mission, vision, values and corporate policies, the deployment of strategy through approaches such as Hoshin Kanri, and the systematic management of stakeholders in complex environments. It also addresses the principles of corporate governance, ethical decision¿making, leadership and the shaping of corporate culture. Together, these areas provide an integrated view of how organizations create long¿term value, ensure accountability and build strategic coherence across all levels.

  • Objetivos

    Objetivos

    Students completing Corporate Strategy and Governance will develop knowledge of strategic formulation, governance models, stakeholder dynamics, ethical frameworks and the role of leadership and culture in shaping organizational direction. They will acquire skills in analysing mission, vision and values, applying Hoshin Kanri for strategy deployment, evaluating governance practices and assessing stakeholder expectations in complex environments. As competences, students will be able to integrate strategic thinking with responsible management, interpret governance mechanisms, align culture and leadership with strategic priorities and contribute to the design and oversight of coherent, ethical and sustainable corporate strategies.

    Metodologias de ensino

    The online delivery of the course is supported by innovative, digitally enabled methodologies that promote strategic thinking, ethical reflection and applied decision¿making. Synchronous sessions use collaborative whiteboards, scenario¿based discussions and live Hoshin Kanri exercises to simulate real corporate¿strategy deployment. Asynchronous components integrate short video explainers, governance case analyses, stakeholder¿mapping tasks and reflective prompts that deepen conceptual understanding. Interactive tools for culture and leadership diagnostics, along with virtual group work, foster active participation and peer learning. Together, these methods create an engaging, practice¿oriented online environment fully aligned with the course's strategic and governance¿focused objectives.
