Class Design Laboratory II

  • Presentation

    Curricular Unit that aims to develop associations between knowledge in the cultural, scientific, experimental and logistic fields, with the objective of carrying out conceptual triangulations that produce thesis themes.

  • Code

  • Syllabus

    1. Intrinsic and extrinsic information relations within the thesis structure;

    2. Concept of triangulation dynamics in the context of the creation of project concepts;

    3. Concept of content fragmentation;

    4. Concept of reference and inference, in the scope of the thesis structure;

    5. Concept of mobility of perspective on the same theme;

    6. Chaining and logical implication, within the framework of the thesis structure;

    7. Concept of reciprocal propositions, errors of reciprocity and fallacious implications;

    8. Intensive (refinement) and extensive (alternatives) exploration.

  • Objectives

    • Understand the implications of logic and inference gaps and incorrect associations;
    • Develop multidisciplinary knowledge association skills;
    • Developing skills of abstraction and transfer in exaptation;
    • Development of skills relating to the concept of the desired pattern, within the framework of what should be ignored and should be taken into account;
    • Development of competences in the sense of temporal and spatial coherence of the contents of the thesis;
    • Understanding of inherent (maintaining characteristics in different contexts), and emerging (changing characteristics according to context) properties;
    • Understanding concepts of transient connection of meaning through the displacement of context
    • Understand the concept of "exergy" in the context of knowledge harnessed and wasted in the context of the contents of the thesis.
  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    The methodology used in each session is structured as follows: the sessions are oriented according to a methodological planning that consists of phases. Each phase is developed according to specific contents articulated according to a class structure that includes theoretical and practical moments.

    The contents exposed and the exercises, as well as the results obtained, result from methodologies oriented towards the information concept domain that are related through dynamics of «transformation» that occurs when its characteristics reflect an alteration or a modification which gave way to a new "form"; A change from one "form" into another, a metamorphosis. Or by «transition» that occurs when its information characteristics represent an intermediate state, a change from one condition to another, a journey.
