    Objectives

    The understanding of contemporary political configurations and dynamics is at the base and is the fundamental problem of the discipline. Students will develop a comparative knowledge of political systems, with attention to the Portuguese-speaking world. A core and far-reaching theme is the development of the interaction between democracy and the economy.

    This cycle of studies seeks to develop the ability of master's students to carry out innovative research that makes a contribution to the scientific area. Thus, knowledge of this curricular unit, critical thinking and ability to work independently are deepened.
