Objectives
Objectives
- Know the chemical components of grapes and chemical wines, their evolution during chemical processes of winemaking and wine aging;
- Study some analytical techniques for the quantification of chemical compounds present in grapes and wine;
- Relate the knowledge acquired about the chemical composition of grapes and wines with the different oenological techniques used in winemaking;
- Develop knowledge and critical thinking that promotes the ability of autonomous research of knowledge in response to new problems;
- Develop observation skills and logical reasoning in problem solving.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The teaching methodologies are based on oral exposition with the support of datashow and demonstration videos. The autonomous research of knowledge is promoted for the elaboration of an individual work within the scope of the topics taught in the classroom. The final classification of the course corresponds to 50% of the assessment of the individual work and 50% of the assessment of the group reports.
