Objectives
Objectives
The main objectives of the curricular unit involve learning about and analysing the historical developments of sound and music in cinema, as well as acquiring scientific, technical, and practical knowledge related to sound. Analytical, critical, and creative abilities are developed while approaching sound and music in audiovisual contexts and are combined with a development of students' theoretical-practical abilities. Technical autonomy is practiced, along with a familiarization with specific vocabulary and intellectual field of sound.

Presentation and exposition of syllabus contents. Analysis of film excerpts. Screening of documentaries about sound in film. Study and discussion of fundamental texts. Practical hands-on work applying acquired knowledge.
