Applied theory and practice of analogical restoration for films and magnetic media - image and sound. Tiago Alexandre Mimoso Ganhão e Franco Bosco will teach the course at Lusófona and at the Cinemateca Portuguesa - Arquivi Nacional das Imagens em Movimento (ANIM)

- Restoration theory and concept evolution
- The stages and challenges of cinematographic and audiovisual restoration - deontology and ethics proposed by FIAF 
- The reconstruction of a work based on existing elements (image and sound)
- Inspection and identification of deteriorations and diagnosis of the film
- Physical restoration of the film: restoring its mechanical capabilities
- Chemical treatment (drying / flexibility / hydration)
- Ultrasonic cleaning
- Calibration or color correction (analog)
- Optical or contact duplication (optical printing / contact printing)
- Revelation and chemical processing of the restored elements (internegative or interpositive or other)
- Comparison
- Documentation of all stages and cataloging in the database
