The Immunology curricular unit has a strong multidisciplinary approach, falling into various domains such as health, biology, physiology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology and parasitology. It includes a laboratory component that comprises important tools for diagnostic and scientific research.

The learning process will include innovative methodologies that aim to maximize the students' participation and their acquisition of knowledge, according to the objectives defined by Bloom's taxonomy. Technological platforms available at the University will be used to apply the Jigsaw cooperative learning method, as well as in projects involving Challenge-Based Learning and Design Thinking.
