Class Production

  • Presentation

    Presentation

The Production course aims to provide students with practical experience in the production and funding processes of animated films. In class, students will simulate an application to the ICA - Support Programme for the Completion of Cinematic Works, using a previously developed film project as the basis. This exercise encourages students to critically reflect on their previous work, identify areas for improvement and completion, and strengthen the artistic, technical, and production quality of the film.

Develop skills in project planning, critical evaluation, and the professional presentation of film projects.
  • Teaching methodologies

    Teaching methodologies

The course unit adopts project-based learning methodologies, enabling students to apply knowledge through the development of a simulated ICA funding application based on a previously created film project. The critical analysis of their own work and case studies of animation productions allows students to identify areas for improvement and explore different production, funding, and co-production models. Collaborative learning is encouraged through project discussions, presentations, and evaluations, bringing students closer to professional practices within the film industry. The use of planning tools, project dossier development, and the simulation of real funding application processes promotes a practical, interdisciplinary learning experience oriented towards professional practice.
