Andreia Geraldo

Resume

Andreia Geraldo holds a PhD in Psychology, specifically in Cognitive and Affective Neurosciences, from the University of Porto since 2024 (Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences). Her master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology was completed in 2014 at the same institution. Andreia is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona, Centro Universitário do Porto, in the field of Clinical Neuropsychology, a researcher at HEI-Lab, and a Clinical Neuropsychologist in private institutions. She has received three research grants, one mobility grant, and an award for best oral communication. Andreia is a specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology by the Portuguese Psychologists Association and a member of the Portuguese Society of Neuropsychology and the International Neuropsychological Society. Integrated the COST Action 16207 about the problematic usage of the internet (PUI) and is a member of the Net and Me + BootStRaP (Boosting societal adaptation and mental health in a rapidly digitalizing, post-pandemic Europe) Early Career Network and of the Rede Académica em Ciências da Saúde da Lusofonia. Currently, she is an active member of the COST Action CA24123 focused on the use of extended reality for the assessment and rehabilitation of spatial neglect and related disorders after Acquired Brain Injury, integrating the WG1, WG3, and WG5, and leading the Short-Term Scientific Missions subgroup. As a doctoral student, she had supported the supervision of one dissertation within the Master's in Clinical and Health Psychology of FPCEUP. Currently, she is supervising 4 and co-supervising 1 master's dissertations of students pursuing the Master's degree in Clinical Neuropsychology, and supervising 4 students in the design of their dissertation projects. She has been the coordinator of curricular internships for the Master's in Clinical Neuropsychology at ULusófona since 2024, responsible for contacting institutions, establishing protocols, allocating students to available institutions based on their interests and profiles, supervising and evaluating internships, and managing the supervisors' team. Andreia has authored and co-authored several papers and book chapters in the field of cognitive and affective neuroscience, building a solid bridge between research and clinical practice. Her main research interests are the use of new digital technologies in (neuro)psychological services and the intersection of cognitive and affective processes.
