It is intended that students develop skills in identifying hazards in terms of health and safety in construction work, through the assessment of present and anticipated risks and definition of prevention and protection measures to be implemented in aconstruction site. Know the causes of work accidents and calculate accident rates. Know the legal framework of safety in construction work in a construction site. Know the stakeholders, their responsibilities and roles in terms of safety in a construction site. Interpret the content and contribute to the development of a Construction Health and Safety Plan. Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
Active teaching methodology puts the student at the centre of the learning process. Students will carry out visits, accompanied and not accompanied by the professor, to construction sites, where they will have the opportunity to have contact with working conditions and problems associated with the implementation of safety measures in construction works. About the visits the students will make a report with an oral presentation in class, where they should critically analyze the safety measures, correctly and incorrectly implemented on site, presenting improvement measures, which will be discussed with peers in class.

Assessment
Assessment
