Computer Netowrks and Internet Introduction Internet overview What is a protocol Internet structure Edge vs core, access networks Packet-switching Performance: loss, delay, throughput Layered service models 2. TCP/IP Architecture Applicational Layer Transport Layer Network or Internet Layer Data Link Layer 3. Introduction to advanced concepts Wireless/mobile networks Security fundamentals 4. Structured Network Design Plan, evaluate and design a structured computer network using simulators or network equipments.
