The course is designed to facilitate the acquisition of fundamental knowledge in Algebra. Consequently, the program is structured into sections that align with the primary topics of this subject matter.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
The theoretical component of the curriculum encompasses lectures on the subject matter, while the practical component focuses on problem-solving activities. Continuous assessment consists of two tests, accounting for 90% of the final grade, calculated through the simple arithmetic mean of the classifications, along with class participation and one assignment contributing 10% to the overall evaluation. It is important to note that students who do not attend at least 75% of the classes will not be eligible for continuous assessment. Furthermore, students who achieve a classification of 10 or higher in the continuous assessment will be exempt from the final exame.
