    • 1- Design Methodologies -Munari; 
    • 2- Methodologies for the development of projects in a Fashion Design area - Gaskill;
    • 3- The creative process in Fashion Design:
      • a) Research trends;
      • b) Research on the domestic/external market;
      • c) Definition of target audience/persona;
      • d) Definition of a Concept;
      • e) Definition of methodological stages;
      • f) Creative Exploration/Experimentation: development of boards: StoryBoard; MoodBoard; Trend Board; Color Charts; Materials and Finishing Charts;
      •  g) Sketch-Book.
    • 4- Selection of garment designs;
    • 5- Design of coordinated - Volumetry, materials and colors + Accessories; 
    • 6- Vector drawing of garments;
    • 7- Development of the collection book; 
    • 8- Capsule Collection for Menswear, Womenswear, Childrenswear, genderless or combination.

     

  • Objectives

    Objectives

    The learning of this Curricular Unit are:

    1. Know and apply the multidisciplinary methodologies for the realization of a Fashion Design project;

    2. Know and assume the role of the Fashion Designer in the context of its activity;

    3. Characterize and know the markets for the defenition of a specific target audience;

    4. Know techniques and processes for the development of a capsule collection;

    5. Distinguish different types of products that integrate a collection;

    6. Know how to design garments and acessories: sketches and vector technical drawings;

    7. Identify and select the methods, techniques and technologies for the implementation of a fashion design project;

     

  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Various important aspects of Fashion Design will be focussed on through visual and exemplary presentations. The work proposed for assessment will be carried out in the classroom and monitored by the teacher, but should include some time for autonomous work.
    The type of work is essentially practical, involving research, planning, organisation and execution.
    Student-centred teaching and learning by doing are encouraged, with the teacher facilitating learning.
