    The radio has been reaching a major role, such as entertainment, information and scientific divulgation. The move to broadcast to the Internet has allowed new radios to emerge around the world. It is believed that in the coming years, the number of online radios will be much higher than what exists today in modeled frequencies, therefrom the relevance of this discipline in the Sound Sciences and Technologies course.

    Mix; effects processors; portable recorder; speakers and amplification.

    Use and application in radio projects.

    Microphones according to directionality and power supply: dynamic and capacitors; omnidirectional; cardioids and super cardioids.

    Destructive editing and non-destructive editing.

    Equalization: graphic and parametric equalizers.

    Dynamics: understanding; gate and expanders.

    Effects: delay; reverb; chorus; flanger; phaser. Structure and operation of a radio station.

    Notion of radiophonic sound design: concepts and practices.

    The sound identity of radio stations in Portugal Music and emotions.

    Radio mood. Jingles, Promotions, Politics, Sports, Culture, Medley and others.

    Editing and mixing author programs: creating a program.

    Be able to integrate sound editing work in the context of radio journalism.

  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Theoretical and practical classes Realization of an author program; a Promotion; a call sign and a medley. The evaluation methodology of these curricular units marked by greater contact between the teacher and the student is framed by the Regulation or the General Law, it must obey two principles: attendance equal to or greater than 75% of the classes taught and the realization of assignments throughout the semester. Having obtained the presence in the frequency exam, the final grade will be the average of the sum of the works performed and classified with the grade of the frequency exam.
