Course contents:
- Interaction design (6 hours)
- Foundations
- The relation between interaction design and other disciplines
- Interactive digital media project (39 hours)
- Contextual inquiry
- User identification and persona creation
- Description of scenarios and user stories
- Design and evaluation of low-fidelity prototypes
- Design and evaluation of high-fidelity prototypes
Students are further provided 15 hours or personal or team tutoring.

Objectives
Objectives
In the end, students should:
- Understand what interaction design is;
- Be able to situate interaction design in software engineering processes;
- Be able to: create personas, scenarios and user stories, design the information architecture, and design sketches and prototypes; and
- Be ready to assess and evaluate the usability of sketches and prototypes of certain types of interactive digital media.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
In this course, virtual laboratories (Loop11) are used to conduct in-person and remote usability studies. UC follows a pattern of active, project-based learning.
