    The Project I course aims to promote the acquisition of the skills necessary for the execution of a software project and / or information system in accordance with good practices, and with a view to a coherent integration of the knowledge acquired in other curricular units. In this domain, the adoption of software development tools and methods is encouraged.


    It is also intended to encourage proactive research behaviours, stimulate creative thinking and critical ability in the design of the software system architecture, as well as promoting good software engineering and documentation practices.

  • Objectives

    Objectives

    Promote the acquisition of skills for the execution of software projects and information systems;
    Develop project management information systems;
    Integrate knowledge acquired in Project Management and Software Engineering, among other courses;
    Development of a software system proposal, with demonstration of the system's behavior (requirements and functionalities), including a set of technical deliverables.

  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Classes will be taught on a tutoring basis, to adapt to the project under development. The evaluation will be carried out in three moments:
    Evaluation of the two intermediate presentations made (including the initial work proposal) and an analysis of the student's regular performance, in relation to the defined objectives (30%);
    Evaluation related to the project / prototype developed (50%). The evaluation of this component will be based on the project report, as well as on an analysis of the student's performance and participation;
    Project presentation (20%).
