From 12 to 15 March, Cinema Fernando Lopes presents, for the third consecutive year, its Oscars Marathon, featuring twelve films nominated in the main categories of the 98th Academy Awards.

The awards ceremony will take place on the night of 15–16 March at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. In anticipation of this central moment of the international film season, Cinema Fernando Lopes offers audiences an immersion into the works that defined the year, with a focus on the most nominated productions.

Over four days, this marathon allows audiences to see or revisit, on the big screen, a collection of works representing different geographies, languages, and aesthetic approaches in contemporary international cinema.

Cinema Fernando Lopes has also reserved the 9:00 pm screening on 16 March for the Best Picture winner, creating a commemorative session where audiences can celebrate the title honoured by the Academy in the cinema.

Through this initiative, Cinema Fernando Lopes reaffirms its commitment to a programme attentive to global cinematic trends, providing optimal conditions for collective viewing on the big screen in this unique venue, now equipped with the Christie Digital Systems RealLaser 4K projector, representing a significant step forward in projection quality.
