Conference 40 Years of Portugal in the EU: Future of the European Project
A reflection on the current challenges of the European Union and its role in an evolving international context

Lusófona University is organising a roundtable, in collaboration with MLS – Movimento Liberal Social, aimed at students of the Bachelor’s Degree in European Studies and International Relations, but open to all interested students.
As part of the Europe Day celebrations, and within the broader context of the 40th anniversary of Portugal’s accession to the European Union, this initiative aims to promote reflection on the role of the European Union in an international context marked by increasing uncertainty, as well as on the future of the European project as a space of liberal democracies.
The session will also feature an intervention by the Representative of the European Commission in Portugal, Sofia Moreira de Sousa, as keynote speaker.
