Seminary AIPJ Youth 2025 Seminar
Seminar for young Criminology students, promoting interest in research and the international sharing of data and studies
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The Faculty of Law of Lusófona University has the pleasure of hosting, on the upcoming 9th of October, the AIPJ Seminar - Youth 2025, organised in collaboration with the Ibero-American Association of Legal Psychology (AIPJ).
The need to introduce Criminology and Psychology students to research at an early stage entails their participation in international initiatives where they can share information, particularly studies and data, with colleagues from other countries. However, participation in conferences outside the country of residence is often very difficult due to the high costs involved.
To overcome this constraint, the Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, benefiting from partnerships with the Asociación Iberoamericana de Psicología Jurídica and Psijus - Associação para a Intervenção Juspsicológica, has established a seminar aimed at young researchers under 30 years of age – the AIPJ Youth 2025 Seminar.
This international meeting will bring together students, researchers, and professionals from the fields of Law and Psychology to reflect on the contemporary challenges of Legal Psychology, with particular emphasis on the new generations of professionals and the growing role of interdisciplinarity within the justice system.
The event will feature distinguished Ibero-American speakers, including:
- Dr David Acuña Rodríguez, President of the AIPJ and one of the leading international figures in the field of Legal Psychology;
- Dr Josean Echauri Tijeras, specialist in forensic psychology and juvenile justice;
- Dr Maria João Fernandes, lecturer and researcher with extensive experience in the intersection between Criminal Law and Psychology.
The AIPJ Seminar - Youth 2025 represents a unique opportunity to deepen the dialogue between Law and Psychology, promoting an integrated vision of legal practice and psychosocial intervention within the context of justice.
Admission is free. Join us for this moment of exchange and sharing between generations and disciplines!
