The FilmEU European University promotes artistic research in European Higher Education, bringing together eight institutions focused on innovative methodologies and the exploration of social, political, ecological, and technological issues.
FilmEU WIRE annually organises the Artistic Research Exhibition (ARE), highlighting the value of artistic knowledge production and its impact on society and the cultural industries.
In 2026, under the theme “Unstable Grounds”, ARE invites reflection on contemporary challenges such as AI, extremism, ecological crisis, and censorship, emphasising artistic research as a space of resistance and reinvention.
It is intended for postgraduate researchers of any nationality, affiliated with academic institutions, including non-European ones. Works from FilmEU and external contributors will be selected.
