Lusófona University - Porto University Centre hosts the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on Wildfire Management and Prevention, organised by FCNET.
Over five days, students will have the opportunity to learn about legislation and technologies applied in wildfire prevention, through workshops, lectures, and visits to points of interest.

5th May
2:00 pm – Registration of participants
2:30 pm – Opening + Welcome Words
3:00 pm – Brainstorming: Legislation and standards applied to the use of drones in wildfires in different countries across Europe
6th May
10:00 am – Class: Extreme fire behaviour and case studies of wildfires
2:30 pm – Workshop: Presentation of work group on wildfire case studies
7th May
Guided tour of Porto
8th May
10:00 am – Prescribed fire session using drones in Vila Real
2:30 pm – Brainstorming on the use of fire to prevent wildfires and the use of drones as a decision support tool based on the morning's practical activity
4:30 pm – Guided tour of Vila Real
6:00 pm – Port of Honour at Vila Real Town Hall
9th May
10:00 am – Individual/group presentation of different technologies applied to Civil Protection in use in the participants' countries of origin
12:00 pm – Debriefing and closing
