International Meeting on Sustainability and Circularity in Fashion brings together industry, companies and academics to share knowledge and innovation
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The FL | Fashion Sustainability – International Conference is an international event dedicated to sustainability in Fashion and related fields. In this 2nd edition, Lusófona University, in partnership with the Politecnico di Milano – POLIMI, is organising a meeting space for Industry, Business, and Academia, open to various approaches and the exchange of experiences and knowledge. With an inclusive format, the conference brings together presentations, exhibitions, plenary sessions, and other formats to enrich knowledge exchange and promote sustainable practices.
This year’s theme focuses on the urgency of discussing sustainability and circularity, with a special emphasis on fashion – one of the industries with the largest environmental impact. The event addresses not only environmental issues but also sustainability from a socioeconomic perspective, which is essential for the prosperity and innovation of the fashion sector.
Portugal, as a country at the forefront of investment in the sustainability of the Textile and Clothing Industry, reinforces its leadership role with this event. To stimulate dialogue and knowledge within the sector, the conference will feature the participation of various stakeholders, from academia to business, and is structured into six major thematic areas: Sustainability in Fashion, Fashion Trend Communication, Fashion and Audiovisual for Sustainability, Fashion Tradition and Identity, Education for Fashion Sustainability, and Innovation.
