Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) ODS4 ODS10 ODS17

Start March 3, 2026 | 14h30 End March 10, 2026 | 17h00

Within the scope of the academic and personal development of students in the Social Work course, several cultural and educational visits are planned, aiming to promote the development of transversal skills essential for their future professional practice.

These activities include:

    • Visit to the Library of Lusófona University – 11 February, 12:15 pm (groups of 7 students)
    • Guided visit to the exhibition “Filhos de todos… Filhos de quem? Os expostos da roda de Lisboa”, at the Museu de São Roque, in Lisbon – 21 February, 10:30 am
    • Guided visit to the Bordalo Pinheiro exhibition – 3 March, 2:30 pm
    • Guided visit to the Bordalo Pinheiro exhibition – 10 March, 2:30 pm, addressing the topic of prejudice and racial discrimination.

These visits are part of a pedagogical strategy designed to complement theoretical training with cultural and educational experiences in real contexts, promoting integrated and reflective learning.

The visit to the Library allows students to develop research skills, intellectual autonomy, and information literacy, all essential for academic work and professional practice in Social Work.

The visit to the Museu de São Roque and the Bordalo Pinheiro exhibitions contributes to engagement with cultural, artistic, and historical heritage, fostering social awareness, critical interpretation skills, and appreciation of cultural diversity. These aspects are fundamental for understanding social contexts, collective identities, and processes of exclusion and inclusion.
