Lusófona University - Porto University Centre is pleased to invite the entire academic community to the open lecture "Current Challenges in Water Treatment and Sewage Treatment Management," which will take place on May 12, 2025, from 14:30 to 17:30. Water, as an essential resource, has been a central theme in cities since their inception, but current challenges require a more innovative and sustainable approach. The lecture will address issues such as water quality assessment based on pharmaceutical compounds and persistent pollutants, water efficiency in the urban water cycle, energy efficiency in treatment processes, recovery of valuable materials from water, and the integration of the water sector with other strategic sectors such as energy, agriculture, and waste management.
