Internships in Social Education: The Role of Institutions in Training the Future Social Educator

Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre is organising the 1st Conference on Educational Sciences – Social Education, an event dedicated to reflecting on the role of internships in training future social educators. Under the theme "Internships in Social Education: The Role of Institutions in Training Future Social Educators", the initiative will bring together specialists, host institutions, and students to discuss challenges, opportunities, and best practices in the field.
The event will feature the participation of APSI – Association for the Promotion of Child Safety and Helpo – NGO for Development, two organisations that host interns from the Educational Sciences – Social Education (LCE-ES) programme. During the sessions, experiences will be shared on integrating students into real work environments and the impact of these practices on their professional development.
The initiative will also include the participation of EVA – Internships and Active Life, a service at ULusófona that supports students in connecting with internship placements and entering the workforce. The event is free of charge but requires prior registration by 24 March 2025.
