Workshop Exercise, Biology and Behaviour: A Translational Multi-omics Workshop

How can biological data help us better understand physical exercise, health and human behaviour?

Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) ODS3 ODS4

Start June 8, 2026 | 10h00 End June 8, 2026 | 12h00

In this workshop, Professor Anna Prats Puig will introduce participants to the potential of multi-omics approaches for studying the complex connections between physical activity, biological mechanisms and health outcomes.

The session will explore how different levels of biological information — such as genomics, metabolomics, proteomics and related biomarkers — can be integrated with behavioural and clinical data to generate a more comprehensive understanding of human health. Particular attention will be given to translational research: how findings from molecular and physiological studies can inform prevention strategies, interventions and personalised healthcare.

Designed for researchers, students and professionals interested in exercise science, health, biology and behavioural research, the workshop will combine conceptual framing with applied discussion, helping participants reflect on how multi-omics perspectives can strengthen current or future research projects.
