This webinar aims to present and demonstrate in a simple way Google’s Artificial Intelligence tools available at Lusófona University. The objective is to encourage their use by the Lusófona University community, including staff, lecturers and students from all academic fields.
Programme
Introduction to Generative AI in Education (15 min)
- What Gemini is and Google’s commitment to privacy, institutional data security and compliance with the GDPR.
Gemini in Google Workspace (30 min)
- For Students: Enhancing study cycles and the production of academic work
- For Lecturers: Support in creating lesson plans, assessment rubrics and pedagogical activities.
- For Staff: Optimising administrative tasks and drafting emails (integration with Gmail and Docs).
NotebookLM: Your Personal Study and Research Assistant (30 min)
- Demonstration of how to transform PDFs, notes and lecture slides into an interactive workspace.
- Generation of summaries, study guides and automatic podcasts from your own documents.
Digital Citizenship and Q&A (15 min)
- Best practices for the responsible use of AI.
- How to maintain critical thinking and manage digital wellbeing in the face of new technologies (aligned with digital literacy and wellbeing guidelines).
