Conference International “One Health” Conference
The international meeting brings together experts to discuss human, animal and environmental health, promoting a sustainable approach
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
Under the theme “One Health, One Planet, One Future”, this international meeting will bring together national and international experts, researchers, healthcare professionals, representatives of public bodies, associations, and policymakers to discuss some of the most pressing challenges of our time, from an integrated perspective of human, animal, and environmental health.
Over its 22 years of existence, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Lusófona University has developed work with recognised social impact, through the provision of veterinary care to thousands of animals, ongoing collaboration with animal welfare associations and local authorities, engagement with the most vulnerable communities, and the promotion of awareness and education initiatives for animal protection and public health.
In parallel, the Faculty has established itself in the areas of livestock species and animal production, promoting innovative approaches that reconcile productivity, animal welfare, and sustainability, as well as in preparing civil society to respond to emergency and disaster situations involving animals, reinforcing the importance of coordinated and multidisciplinary strategies.
