Open Class Intervention with Victims of Domestic Violence

Students from the Risks and Violence specialisation of the Master’s in Social Work and Social Policy will take part in an open class in the form of a study visit to Espaço Júlia in Lisbon, a specialised facility dedicated to supporting and protecting victims of domestic violence.
The activity will provide insight, in a real intervention context, into the reception procedures, risk assessment and interinstitutional coordination carried out by multidisciplinary teams, giving students direct contact with professional practices in the field of victim protection.

6:00 pm | Departure from Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre
7:00 pm |
- Welcome and presentation of the facility.
- Conversation with Dr Inês Carrola, technical director of Espaço Júlia, and Chief Dias, representative of the PSP, about reception procedures, risk assessment and interinstitutional coordination in supporting victims of domestic violence.
9:00 pm | Return to the University campus
