Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The Universidade Lusófona - Lisbon University Centre is partnering with the promotion of the lecture "Intervention in Palliative Care", an event that highlights the importance of a holistic view on this subject. Developed as part of the 3rd-year Curriculum Placement of the Degree in Social Work at the Instituto de São João de Deus/São João de Ávila Clinic, the event brings together specialists and professionals who will address the fundamental concepts of palliative care, from diagnosis to referral to the National Network of Integrated Continuous Care (RNCCI).
This initiative focuses on social, clinical, ethical, and relational perspectives, promoting an enriching debate on the humanisation of care in challenging contexts. The session will be moderated by Patrícia Pinela, a final-year student of the Degree in Social Work at Universidade Lusófona - CUL, and will feature speakers such as Prof. Hélia Bracons, Dr Ana Bernardo, and Father Custódio Lagane.
The lecture is free and open to the public, reflecting Universidade Lusófona’s commitment to fostering the sharing of knowledge and best practices.
