Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The international conference Shaping The Future Living Places, Act 2. Data Collection And Archiving International Conference, which will take place at the Technical University of Moldova, on 7 and 8 May 2026, in Chișinău. As societal challenges become increasingly complex, the concept of “ambience” has emerged as a critical perspective for understanding how the sensory, cultural, and spatial dimensions of built environments interrelate in shaping the human experience.
Rooted in the fields of architecture and urban studies, this event, the second conference of CA23145 — seeks to build a shared corpus to support research on architectural and urban ambiences. We invite submissions that address the challenges of collecting, organising, and preserving resources, deepening the understanding of how we perceive and conceptualise the multifaceted qualities of architectural and urban environments, from initial design to practice, and returning these contributions to architects, urban planners, and the broader field of spatial design.
See the programme on the event website.
