Workshop Silicon Based Photography
Taking place within the scope of a curricular unit of the Master in Photography at Universidade Lusófona.
“Silicon based Photography” is a workshop programmed as part of a curricular unit of the Master in Photography at Universidade Lusófona, which is supervised by the author, photographer and experimentalist Guilherme Maranhão.
The workshop will begin with a presentation on the photographic image formation process, reflecting on the key steps that determine the visuality of the image. This reflection will open the way to discuss and experiment with different ways of intervening in a digital image, creating a list of possible actions. During the workshop, several experiences will be made, namely:
- Exploring visible light with infrared-sensitive digital captures;
- Explore the use of color channels in editing software;
- Explore different sensor formats with captures that use linear CCDs;
- Explore some interferences in inkjet printers.
The workshop will take place on the 27th and 28th of January and will last 12 hours, with 6 places for external participants. Registration: 70€
