The conference “World Portuguese Language Day and Portuguese Language and Culture Day in the CPLP” aims to highlight the central role of language in Portuguese-speaking higher education and in strengthening relations between CPLP countries.

It also seeks to value linguistic diversity, recognizing the richness of the mother tongues of African countries and Timor-Leste, and to encourage reflection on inclusive policies that preserve the linguistic heritage of communities while strengthening Portuguese as a language of cooperation, dialogue, and shared identity.
