I want to recognize the degree/course I have, how should I proceed?
The Lusófona University, in accordance with its Statutes, does not recognize or attribute degree equivalence. Recognition of foreign diplomas in Portugal is carried out at Public Universities. We suggest that you obtain information from the DGES – General Directorate of Higher Education on the request for registration of recognition of foreign academic degree.
The recognition in Portugal of academic degrees and higher education diplomas, awarded by foreign higher education institutions, has been regulated since January 1, 2019 by the Decree-Law No. 66/2018, of August 16. The application of this Decree-Law is regulated by the Ordinance No. 33/2019, of January 25, amended by Ordinance No. 43/2020, of February 14th.
