    This curricular unit aims to develop knowledge and skills of direct observation of an sports training session/class. After assimilating the methodological and scientific bases for observation and analysis in Physical Education, students go to the field to apply the instruments learned. The practical application takes place in different contexts of sport, from school, to recreation and sports training.

    I. THE OBSERVATION AND ANALYSIS OF THE TEACHING PROCESS.

  • Objectives

    Objectives

    The present UC aims to develop the ability to observe and analyze the sport in different contexts. In this sense, it is intended that the students who attend this UC be able to: 1) Understand the variables of research in physical education and sports education 2) Know and apply different methods, instruments and procedures of observation in sports; 3) Monitor and analyze the role of different actors in the teaching-learning process; 4) Observe different contexts of sports intervention, including sport in a school context, aimed at special populations and sports performance.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Students are learning by doing, using several observation instruments in the field. This methodology also allows them to observe different sports contexts. Students also reflect on the observation process to integrate learning.
