Presentation
The CU Biological Bases of Human Behaviour is part of the 1st cycle in Psychology. It aims to provide basic and updated knowledge regarding the main issues of Biology and Genetics applied to the study of human behaviour, from the cellular and molecular to the systemic levels. Students are expected to acquire and systematize knowledge about the structural and molecular organization of the cell and the mechanisms underlying its normal functioning, particularly the cells of the nervous system. Additionally, it is intended that students acquire and systematize basic concepts of Human Genetics and recognize the relevance of these concepts to the practical issues of their future professional.

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
The proposed and described teaching methodologies integrate a set of pedagogical innovation practices based on evidence, and adjusted to the objectives and contents of the curricular unit. Different teaching methodologies (TM) will be used: Expository classes (TM1), Viewing and discussion of documentaries/videos (TM2), Analysis of scientific papers (TM3), Small group activities (TM4), Feedback provided by the professor on work developed (TM5).

Assessment
Assessment
