Syllabus
The topics to be developed relate to the understanding, from the point of view of form, function, construction and program of iconic buildings that served and serve as reference for the construction of an architectonic repertoire that every architect should possess.
For this purpose a reference shall be made to the context, the program and the environment in which the architectural work is placed, as well as to their physical characteristics - mass, structure, surface and materials - as well as the spatial dimension, scale, light and movement and also to issues related to constructive aspects, namely manufacturing and pre-fabrication. Pre-existences will also be referred, as well as the relationship with the environment where these works are situated, whether urban or otherwise.

Objectives
Objectives
The curricular unit of Introduction to Theory and History of Architecture II presents itself as a second approach to the disciplinary foundations of architecture. In this sense, the aim is to give continuity to the course taught in Theory and History of Architecture curriculum. First, students are expected to familiarize themselves with the multiple architectural achievements and become familiar with iconic works that have proved to be fundamental to the history of architecture. Secondly, it should also to contribute to the formation of a repertoire of works that, by its exemplarity, constitutes a collection of project and work solutions that, over time, have structured the discipline.Instrumental skills: in data analysis and synthesis; oral and written communication; information management.
