Objectives
Objectives
Acquire new theoretical and practical knowledge and clinical methods in a hands-on environment, learning about the clinical approach to problems and the treatment of current situations in the medicine and surgery of companion animals, and correlating this knowledge with that acquired in other curricular units. Apply and develop the theoretical knowledge acquired in the preclinical curricular units and predecessor clinics. By the end of the semester, students should be able to recognise clinical problems in companion animals based on clinical history and symptomatology. They should also understand risk factors, be able to establish a list of differential diagnoses and decide on and implement different diagnostic methods, as well as interpret them. Students should also be able to determine a prognosis, perform treatment and know the cost-benefits of treatment, as well as implement prophylactic measures. Develop clinical competence for the practice of Evidence-Based and Precision Medicine

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
The use of simulators and life-size animal models allows students to practice procedures safely and gain confidence. The use of active learning methodologies, such as clinical case resolution, gamification, and the jigsaw methodology, allows students to stay focused and interact actively during the teaching of the course content.
