Curricular Unit to acquire basic and advanced skills in Companion Animal Clinic, namely: Acquire habits and methods of clinical practice, based on a problem-oriented approach and the application of knowledge acquired from Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) as the core driver; Become familiar with essential procedures and techniques for professional life as a companion animal clinician; Know how to solve problems individually and in a team; In-depth vision and knowledge of the particularities of various species, breeds, ages, and genders; Know how to search for appropriate scientific literature for the study and resolution of clinical cases; Become familiar with oral presentation and streamline your communication skills using appropriate medical terminology; Exercise medical reasoning and objectivity in the preparation of a clinical protocol; Learn about "state-of-the-art" techniques in Companion Animal Clinic and Surgery.

Clinical Performance in a Companion Animal Hospital Environment Active and supervised follow-up of consultations, surgeries, and other procedures; Communication with the client; Obtaining the clinical history; Performing a physical exam; Drafting a problem list and corresponding list of differential diagnoses; Execution and interpretation of results from complementary diagnostic exams; Establishing a diagnosis, therapy, and prognosis. Hospitalization: Follow-up of hospitalized cases, including participation in hospital rounds. "State-of-the-art" / Advanced Seminars in the field of Companion Animal Clinic and Surgery, specifically: Cardiology Dermatology Emergencies, and Intensive Care (including exotic animals); RECOVER Oncology Communication Tools, Ethics, and Challenges of Clinical Practice Biosecurity and good clinical practice Anesthesia and Surgery (Soft Tissue, Orthopedics) Rehabilitation Opthalmology Nefrology/Urology

Follow-up of real clinical cases and discussion of cases described in the literature (case reports and original articles). Practical simulation with animal models in Clinical LabSkills for medical procedures and techniques. Clinical approach oriented to the problem and based on evidence-based medicine. Use of innovative technological tools (AI) for information retrieval. Use of international networking platforms to support clinical practice (VIN, AVA, IRIS, RECOVER, etc.). "State-of-the-art" seminars taught by internationally renowned speakers in their respective specialties.
