  • Objectives

    Objectives

      Acquire foundational knowledge in equine reproductive technologies. Develop the ability to use complementary diagnostic tools in the evaluation of the mare, as well as to interpret the corresponding results and establish appropriate treatment. Acquire knowledge on semen collection, evaluation, and cryopreservation in stallions. Develop skills in performing various artificial insemination techniques. Acquire knowledge on embryo transfer. Acquire knowledge on ovum pick-up and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Acquire knowledge on in vitro fertilization. Understand the differences among the various technologies and their limitations.
