The student is expected to demonstrate both theoretical and practical knowledge of the different reproductive technologies in horses. The student should be able to interpret the results obtained from various diagnostic methods in order to assess the probability of success of each technique and to implement the most appropriate procedure.

Objectives
Objectives
Acquire foundational knowledge in equine reproductive technologies. Develop the ability to use complementary diagnostic tools in the evaluation of the mare, as well as to interpret the corresponding results and establish appropriate treatment. Acquire knowledge on semen collection, evaluation, and cryopreservation in stallions. Develop skills in performing various artificial insemination techniques. Acquire knowledge on embryo transfer. Acquire knowledge on ovum pick-up and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Acquire knowledge on in vitro fertilization. Understand the differences among the various technologies and their limitations.
