The course unit aims to deepen clinical practice in Veterinary Imaging and to apply the knowledge acquired throughout the academic journey in a hospital setting through a hands-on practical immersion involving case analysis and discussion, bibliographic research, report writing, and close supervision by the teaching staff. It promotes the development of technical skills, problem-solving ability, teamwork, and the application of up-to-date clinical protocols, with a focus on fostering the student’s critical and creative development.

To deepen clinical practice by reinforcing the application of the knowledge acquired throughout the student's academic career in the areas of greatest interest; familiarisation with procedures and techniques essential to the student's professional life as a clinician in a hospital environment; to know how to solve problems individually and in a team; to apply state-of-the-art protocols correctly and pragmatically; to practise a problem-oriented clinical approach in a hospital environment

Teaching methodologies
Todos os materiais teóricos necessários são fornecidos ao aluno atempadamente para correcta preparação para a predominante componente prática da UC. A matéria referente às aulas práticas será baseada em diferentes metodologias ensino: regime de imersão em ambiente hospitalar prático em “hands-on”, pesquisa bibliográfica, análise documental e tratamento de informação, análise e discussão de casos, elaboração de relatórios de exame de imagem, com um forte acompanhamento por parte dos professores no sentido de estimular os estudantes a desenvolverem os seus percursos de reflexão e de criação.
