The Curricular Unit's field of action comprises a wide range of health conditions and pathologies highly prevalent worldwide and among the Portuguese population. These conditions are largely influenced by sedentariness and physical activity. The areas of practice include practical contexts (such as health centers, hospitals, schools, gyms) in which the prevention and / or treatment (i.e., management) of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases are important. In addition, the state of the art regarding knowledge in relation to these health conditions as well as research opportunities will be demonstrated within the course.
