Presentation
Energy management and energy efficiency are critical and highly specialized areas within the context of electrical engineering. This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities and challenges related to the efficient use of energy. Students are prepared to act as professionals who can play a crucial role in managing energy resources across various sectors, including industries, utility companies, residential and commercial buildings, government organizations, and energy consultancies. In this course, students leverage their knowledge of electrical energy to a framework of energy in its multiple sources, sectors, forms, and vectors. The course promotes the skills necessary to analyze energy consumption, identify opportunities for intervention, and implement efficient solutions. Concern for sustainability makes this course essential for engineers and energy professionals.

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
The following approaches will be followed: Case Studies: Real-world examples for students to apply energy management concepts to real-world situations. Solidifies and develops problem-solving skills. Simulations: Use of simulators and tools to analyse energy systems and buildings, allowing students to experience different scenarios and make decisions related to energy efficiency, particularly in the field of audits. Online Supplementary Resources: from industry-leading institutions. Collaborative Projects: Practical projects involving energy audits, building analysis, or transportation companies with presentations in a classroom context to promote collective analysis and discussion. Formative Assessment: Ongoing assessments and regular feedback to monitor student progress and adjust the teaching approach as needed
